Fleury helps lead Blackhawks to win in return to Vegas

Jujhar Khaira and Riley Stillman scored and Marc-Andre Fleury made 30 saves in net as the Blackhawks snapped their six-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory in Vegas on Saturday.

Fleury was playing against his former team for the first time since coming to the Hawks in a trade last offseason. The Golden Knights paid tribute to Fleury with an emotional video tribute just before puck drop.

Fleury's 2 biggest saves came in the final moments. He first staved off a point-blank one-timer by Evgenii Dadonov with 61 seconds remaining, then turned away a slap shot by Shea Theodore with 31 seconds left.

When the final horn sounded, Fleury, who spent four years with the Golden Knights, was engulfed by his teammates.

Vegas led 1-0 after the first period, but Khaira knotted things up at 4:38 of the second when he beat Robin Lehner with a wrist shot to the far side post.

Ten minutes later, Stillman scored for the first time this season when his long shot from the point found its way through traffic and got past Lehner. It was just Stillman's second career goal in 79 games. Dylan Strome (7) and Patrick Kane (24) both notched assists on the goal.

Khaira racked up 10 hits in just more than 12 minutes of ice time.

Vegas (23-14-1) has lost three of four.

The Hawks (12-18-5) conclude their three-game road trip at Columbus on Tuesday, then return home to face Montreal on Thursday and Anaheim on Saturday.
