Blackhawks' Kane named NHL's third star of month

Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane was named the NHL's third star of the month Sunday.

Kane hit the scoresheet in all 15 November games, notching 11 goals and 13 assists to help the Hawks go 7-5-3 in the month. Kane kept his point streak alive by scoring with just 5:22 remaining during a 7-3 loss at Colorado on Saturday.

The 15-game run is the longest in the NHL this season, while Kane's 24 points in November mark a career best in any month of his career.

November's first star was Edmonton's Connor McDavid (13 goals, 13 assists in 14 games), while the second star was Colorado's Nathan MacKinnon (10G, 15A). MacKinnon had 7 of those points during the Avs' home-and-home sweep of the Hawks over the weekend.
