Baseball: Palatine walks off Buffalo Grove with 3 in 7th

Luke Seiffert's fielder's choice ground ball drove in Jacob Holmstrom with the winning run Monday as Palatine scored 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Buffalo Grove 6-5 in a Mid-Suburban League baseball crossover game.

Jake Andersen's 2-run double tied the game for the Pirates (19-12-1, 11-5).

Josh Stitt had 2 hits with a double and 3 RBI for Palatine while Tyler Pecson added 2 hits and Shailan Rajpurkar a double.

Joshua Rivera earned the win on the mound in relief.

Riku Komatani (3 hits), Matt Brunelli (2 hits), Ales Paul (2 hits, RBI), Connor Adams (2 hits) and Tyler Fricke (2 hits, RBI led BG (17-10, 9-6).

Prospect 5, Conant 0: Matt McAleer tossed a 4-hitter and Tyler Priessing had 2 hits with a double and 4 RBI to lead the Knights (14-13-1, 9-7) to the MSL crossover win. Ed Brancato added 2 hits for Prospect. Keegan Brandt had a double for Conant (9-21, 5-11).

Hoffman Estates 6, Wheeling 4: Logan Willis belted a 2-run home run, Joe Kliver had 2 hits with an RBI and Adam Burkes doubled to help Hoffman (4-22-2, 3-13) to the MSL crossover win. Matt Grossi picked up the win on the mound for the Hawks. Andy Shover (2 hits, RBI), Michael Best (2 hits), Joe Jordan (2 hits, 2B, RBI) and Jeremy Kim (2B, RBI) led Wheeling (10-12, 7-9).

Fremd 10, Meadows 0: Nick Rattin (2 hits, 2 RBI), Brent Swenson (3 hits, 2B), Connor Giusti (2 hits, 2B, RBI), TJ Davis (2 hits, RBI) and Tom Cermak (2B) led the offense for Fremd (18-11, 12-4) in its MSL crossover win. Adam Davis allowed just 1 hit in five innings on the mound for the Vikings. Chris Divito had the only hit for Rolling Meadows (4-19, 2-14).

Maine East 6, Maine West 2: Enrique Melendez drove in both runs for Maine West (12-14-1) in a Central Suburban loss. Jason Cabral had a triple for the Warriors.
