White Sox recall Carson Fulmer from Triple-A Charlotte

Prior to Monday's game against Tampa Bay, the White Sox recalled right-handed pitcher Carson Fulmer from Class AAA Charlotte.

Fulmer, 25, takes the roster spot of outfielder Ryan Cordell, who was optioned to Charlotte following Sunday's game. He has appeared in one game with the Knights this season, allowing one run on two hits with four strikeouts over 2.1 innings in relief.

Fulmer originally was selected by the White Sox in the first round (eighth overall) of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft out of Vanderbilt University.
