Libertyville d. Lake Forest: The host Wildcats improved to 15-13 and 5-1 in the North Suburban Conference, as Peyton O'Brien had 17 assists and Cassidy Jones added 6 kills and 2 blocks.
Kellie Hopper and Ella Schaffnit each had 5 kills for Libertyville. Hopper added 8 digs, and Alyssa Sorensen contributed 14 digs along with 2 aces.
Down 23-20 in the second set, Libertyville rallied thanks to blocks from Amanda Reinhart and O'Brien as well as an ace from Sorensen. The Wildcats trailed 24-23, but a kill from Hopper tied the set, and another block from Reinhart ended the match.
Libertyville, which trails first-place Stevenson by one match in the NSC, concludes conference play next Wednesday at Zion-Benton.
Lake Zurich d. Mundelein: The host Bears won 25-21, 25-23 in North Suburban Conference action.
Mundelein (16-12, 3-3) was led by Alexis Naddy's 10 kills. Taylor Heath had 5 kills for the Mustangs, Brianna Martin tallied 3 kills and 3 blocks, and Isabella Cartland delivered 4 aces and 3 kills.
