Blackhawks unveil logo for Winter Classic at Notre Dame

With the Chicago Blackhawks hosting the NHL Winter Classic at Notre Dame Stadium this winter, the National Hockey League unveiled the logo for the outdoor hockey game against the Boston Bruins on New Year's Day.

The year logo features an icy and green shamrock that pays tribute to Notre Dame's legacy. It was designed by NHL Creative Services and Fanbrandz.

The NHL's annual outdoor game will be played at Notre Dame Stadium, home of the Fighting Irish football team, on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 at noon (NBC).

Ticket information and other details will be announced at a later date, officials said.
