Lovie says Alex Brown should be good to go vs. Seattle

Chicago Bears defensive end Alex Brown was in the trainer's room instead of a hospital room a day after he limped off the field with a sprained left ankle.

Coach Lovie Smith said Brown should be available this week against Seattle, so the Bears were breathing a sigh of relief on Monday.

Chicago beat Pittsburgh 17-14 on Sunday thanks to a strong finish by Jay Cutler and a 44-yard field goal by Robbie Gould in the closing seconds.

Smith said Brown "means a lot to our football team. We need him on the field." Chicago is already playing without linebacker Brian Urlacher, lost for the year with a wrist injury.
