Wheaton police to 'Stuff the Squad' with food pantry donations

Wheaton police will hold a donation drive this week to help restock the shelves of the Milton Township Food Pantry.

As the name suggests, the department's "Stuff the Squad" event has police loading up a patrol SUV with donated food and toiletries for neighbors in need.

People can drop off donations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the city's police station, 900 W. Liberty Drive.

The most-needed items for the pantry include canned salmon, canned chicken, spam, hamburger helper, cereal, snacks, shampoo, conditioner, disposable razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, bar soap, toilet paper, facial tissues, size 6 diapers and baby wipes.

For those unable to attend the event, there will be a donation box in the police department lobby through the end of the week.
