Armed robbery reported in Park Ridge
A masked man armed with a handgun stole a woman's purse Thursday night in Park Ridge, police said.
The robbery occurred about 9:15 p.m. outside a store on the 2600 block of East Dempster Street.
Three people had just left the store when they were approached by the gunman, who took the purse and then fled in a waiting tan sedan with tinted windows, police said.
Police said the robber was wearing a mask, glasses, a tan hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and black shoes.
