Wilmette Park District seeks resident input

The Wilmette Park District is requesting residents complete a survey as part of its Comprehensive and Strategic Planning initiative. Surveys were to be mailed to residents the week of Jan. 30 and also may be completed online through www.wilmettepark.org.

The survey is part of the park district's Project Parks and Play project, and will allow residents to help shape how the Wilmette Park District serves people over the next decade. The project is expected to last up to 18 months and includes professional assessment of parks, resident focus groups, open houses, public meetings, and other programs.

Several opportunities like those have already been in play. More than 2,200 people visited the Project Parks and Play website in November and December and provided some 400 comments, 200 of which pertained to future park district offerings, according to a news release.
