Mount Prospect hires new director of marketing and public relations

Kylie Cerk has been appointed Mount Prospect's new director of marketing and public relations.

In that role, she will work with village leadership to promote services, market events, and engage with residents, businesses and the media.

"I'm looking forward to getting to know the community and am thrilled to have the opportunity to share its stories in new and creative ways," she said.

Improving communications was a priority in the village's 2022-2023 strategic plan.

Cerk comes to Mount Prospect from Northbrook and has held communications roles with Deerfield, Gurnee and Villa Park. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2016 with a degree in English and Journalism.

"Her talents will allow us to make meaningful progress in our community communications goals," said Village Manager Mike Cassady.
