Wheaton French Market adjusts hours before closing out the season

The Wheaton French Market will have new hours for the final weeks of this year's season.

Shoppers can find fresh flowers, cheeses, organic produce and crumb cakes made by Hahn's Bakery of Geneva. At their booth, French nuns from St. Roger Abbey offer fruit tarts, bread, flaky chocolate croissants and French patisserie classics.

The weekly market will be open downtown from 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. each Saturday through Nov. 26.

The open-air market, operated by Bensidoun USA, runs along Liberty Drive between Cross and Reber streets, and on Reber between Liberty and Willow Avenue.

Vendors have used that temporary site as crews complete the construction of a permanent canopy structure that will house the French market and other activities in the downtown parking lot at Main Street and Liberty Drive.
