North Central ranked among Midwest's top colleges

For the 28th straight year, U.S. News & World Report has listed North Central College among the Midwest's top colleges.

This year the college jumped two spots to No. 17 out of 166 schools listed in the category of Best Regional Universities in the Midwest. North Central College was ranked ninth in the Midwest on the Most Innovative Schools list.

The college also was listed in categories for Best Value Schools, Best Colleges for Veterans and Top Performers on Social Mobility.

"At a time when students are looking for clear measures of quality and reputation, I am pleased to see North Central's consistently strong rankings," said Interim President Dr. Donna Carroll.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on several factors including outcomes, faculty resources, expert opinion, financial resources, student excellence and alumni giving.
