Mount Prospect launches annual School Supply Drive

Mount Prospect's Human Services Department is launching its annual School Supply Drive.

This year, families will receive a backpack with a gift card to be used to purchase school supplies. Families eligible to participate in the program regularly use the village's food pantry or have experienced a recent significant financial hardship.

Residents can donate a new or gently used backpacks to the below locations or make a monetary donation via PayPal at www.mountprospect.org/donation. Human services staff will purchase gift cards for each child participating in the program.

Location of backpack donation bins: village hall, 50 S. Emerson St.; the library, 10 S. Emerson St.; and the police department, 911 E. Kensington Road.
