Fire causes heavy damage at Lake in the Hills home
A two-story home in Lake in the Hills caught fire Tuesday afternoon.
At 2:20 p.m., the Huntley Fire Protection District responded to the 200 block of Stickley Lane.
Authorities said the fire was under control quickly but caused heavy damage, including to two vehicles in the garage.
The damage was estimated at $375,000. The home is uninhabitable.
A neighboring house sustained some heat damage.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
