DuPage forest preserve plans open houses June 11

The DuPage County Forest Preserve is seeking public feedback for its potential plans for Blackwell, Greene Valley and Waterfall Glen forest preserves.

The forest preserve hosts three open houses at each location on Saturday, June 11. Forest preserve staff will share ideas for the three preserves and get public input on plans for recreational amenities, trails, natural resource restoration, facilities and infrastructure.

The Waterfall Glen session is in the trailhead lot on Northgate Road off Cass Avenue in Darien from 9 to 11 a.m.; the Greene Valley session is in the parking lot on Greene Road south of 79th Street in Naperville from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.; and the Blackwell session is at the Silver Lake boat launch parking lot in Warrenville from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

An online survey is also available at dupageforest.org for anyone to view and provide comments on the plans.

The forest preserve plans to provide for one further opportunity for public feedback. For information, call (630) 933-7200 or visit dupageforest.org.
