Rail crossing on Butterfield Road in Vernon Hills to close Monday
The Elgin, Joliet & Eastern railroad crossing on Butterfield Road north of Route 60 in Vernon Hills will be closed beginning Monday, May 23 for repairs.
The closure will begin at 9 a.m. May 23 and end in the late afternoon on Friday, May 27. The detour is Route 60 to Route 45 to Route 176.
Local traffic will be allowed from Route 60 to the railroad crossing and from Route 176 to the railroad crossing. The crossing will be closed to all traffic.
