Pay it forward: How you can help Northbrook Rotary fund local nonprofits

The Rotary Club of Northbrook is known for its philanthropic efforts.

The club raises funds every year to support nonprofits both large and small. Some that you are highly aware of, and many you may not yet know.

The grants and scholarships provided by the club have a direct local impact on our community.

"Each spring the club hosts a raffle, this year branded 'Pay It Forward,'" says Club President Ron Knight. "Our goal is modest, but so important! We generally distribute about $40,000 in scholarships, and grants to hyperlocal groups and students. There has never been a more important time to help!"

Recently, even in the middle of its major fundraiser, Pay It Forward Spring Raffle, the club jumped into supporting its Ukraine Humanitarian Relief Project in the Village.

But now there are only a few days left for the Club to reach its modest goal; they need your help to do it.

Tickets are $50 each for a chance to win the grand prize of $3,000, or one of the others of $2,000 and $1,000.

Here are some of the recipients Rotary has and will support with grants and scholarships with your help: Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook; The Northfield Township Food Pantry; Hunger Resource Network; Outreach/Feed 6; Cancer Wellness Center; Friendship Circle Of Illinois; North Suburban YMCA; Keshet; Rainbow
