Evanston mayor to discuss rank choice voting in webinar

Evanston Mayor Daniel Biss will appear in a free webinar at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, as part of the Civic Awareness Series.

Biss will discuss rank choice voting, an alternate electoral system being considered by Illinois communities and the Illinois General Assembly. Previously, Biss served as a member of the Illinois House and Illinois Senate and ran for the Democratic nomination for governor in 2018.

The event is co-sponsored by the Robert R. McCormick House at Cantigny Park, the League of Women Voters of Wheaton and the League of Women Voters of Central Kane County.

Advance registration is required at cantigny.org or my.lwv.org/Illinois/wheaton. Registrants will receive a Zoom link before the event.
