District 62 names new assistant superintendent for human resources
A longtime school administrator has been chosen as the next assistant superintendent for human resources in Des Plaines Elementary District 62.
Kathleen Kelly Colgan will begin in the post July 1. Her duties will include working to ensure best practices with regards to personnel services and records, staffing issues, contract administration, and personnel review and appraisal.
She comes to the district with nearly two decades of experience in education, having served the last four years as executive director for human resources in Cicero-based J. Sterling Morton High School District 201. Prior to that, Kelly Colgan served for three years as the director for human resources in North Chicago District 187.
"As a teacher and a leader, I have always put students first," Kelly Colgan in an announcement of her appointment. "The District 62 community can be assured that what is best for students will be at the forefront of all that we do in the human resources office."
