Man arrested after refusing to leave Des Plaines casino

A Chicago man who was arrested Saturday after refusing to leave Rivers Casino in Des Plaines later pushed a police officer, leading to another charge, authorities said.

Matthew Leveston, 35, is charged with criminal trespass to real property and battery.

Police were called to the casino to deal with a disruptive patron, according to a news release.

Leveston was loudly arguing with employees at a craps table and had been asked to leave, police said.

Leveston was upset about a bet he thought he had placed but was ruled to be late and not valid, police said.

Officers and security personnel escorted Leveston outside but he refused to leave and was arrested.

During a search at the station, Leveston pushed an officer in the chest, police said.
