Zion-Benton student charged in school stabbing

A Zion high school student was arrested after stabbing another student during a fight Monday, authorities said Tuesday.
Joseph Braggs, an 18-year-old student at Zion-Benton Township High School, stabbed a 15-year-old student on school grounds, Zion police said in a news release.
The 15-year-old student is expected to recover.
Braggs was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery with great bodily harm. He is being held in Lake County jail on $75,000 bond.
