Aurora Knights of Columbus set Oct. 27 spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Catholic students

The Aurora Knights of Columbus 14929 will hold a benefit spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Luigi's Pizza, 732 Prairie St. in Aurora.

The public is invited. Parking is free. Patrons may dine in or take carryouts. Tickets are $10.

The menu includes spaghetti with meatballs or chicken breast, tossed salad, bread and a cookie.

Proceeds will benefit tuition assistance for students at Pope St. John Paul II Catholic Academy, a school with two campuses in southeast Aurora. The Catholic Diocese of Rockford, with an Aurora Task Force Committee, opened the academy in the 2018-19 school year.

The school combined schools at four Aurora parishes - Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Joseph, St. Peter and St. Therese of Jesus.

North and south campuses are at St. Joseph and Our Lady of Good Counsel parishes, respectively.

Financial and spiritual support of the academy come from seven Aurora area parishes including Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Joseph, St. Therese of Jesus, St. Peter, Sacred Heart, St. Nicholas and St. Mary's.
