Vehicle removed from train tracks near Lincolnshire

No injuries are being reported in connection with a vehicle stuck on railroad tracks near the Prairie View Metra station between Buffalo Grove and Vernon Hills, just west of Lincolnshire.

Metra officials said two inbound trains on the North Central Service line were delayed 45 minutes and 30 minutes each, but the vehicle was removed and train traffic has resumed.

The NCS Metra line runs between Antioch and Union Station in downtown Chicago.
