Links Technology Cup golf outing benefits Schaumburg Park Foundation

Schaumburg-based Links Technology brought its annual Links Technology Cup golf outing back to the Schaumburg Golf Club Wednesday to benefit the Schaumburg Park Foundation.

The foundation is a nonprofit created to assist the programs of the Schaumburg Park District. Among its beneficiaries is the district's recreation scholarship program, which provides funds for family memberships, programs and events to those who might not otherwise have the financial ability to participate in district activities.

The charitable event raised funds from a full day of golf in which participants played 18 holes and dined at Chandler's Chophouse in the clubhouse of the golf course.

Apart from the overall competition for the cup, other contests on the course included hole-in-one, longest putt, closest to the pin, and men/women's longest drive.
