Free Six Flags tickets offered at COVID-19 clinic Saturday

On Saturday, the DuPage Health Coalition, in cooperation with YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago and West Suburban Community Pantry, will offer free COVID-19 vaccinations for those age 12 or older. The vaccine clinic will be 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the pantry, 6809 Hobson Valley Drive, Suite 118, in Woodridge.

The event also will reward participants receiving their first vaccination at this event with free tickets to Six Flags Great America. The clinic will offer the Pfizer vaccine to those ages 12 to 17 and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to those 18 and older.

"We are pleased to work with the DuPage Health Coalition to offer access to vaccinations to anyone who may not have been able to get them before this," says Laura Coyle, executive director of West Suburban Community Pantry. "We realize that many families struggle to access health care for the same reasons they struggle to access food, including lack of transportation, inconvenient work hours, child care challenges, language barriers and pride. We've made it our mission to overcome these challenges to provide families with the food and supplies they need to stay healthy. Getting people vaccinated fits right into this mission."

Visitors to the pantry for this event may also register for food support if they qualify.
