What traditional events were adapted for the pandemic and how?

One major event we changed was prom. In lieu of a traditional prom, we planned a Senior Celebration Day for our students to come and enjoy some food and activities together as a class. We hope this provides a sense of closure for our Class of 2021 and shows them just a little bit of our appreciation for their commitment to Cary-Grove over their time here.

What were the most significant challenges faced by the Class of 2021 and how did they overcome them?

The biggest challenge may have been how our seniors were able to navigate so much change and loss while staying mentally and emotionally strong. In the end, this class showed an incredible amount of compassion for each other and a level of maturity beyond what anyone could imagine. We admire how our seniors have supported one another throughout the past year and a half.

Principal's reflections on the Class of 2021:

Watching this class grow over the past four years and seeing how they have persisted in the face of adversity and continued to make C-G and its community a better place tells me that they are capable of having an incredibly positive impact on our world. This class of Trojans has so many talents and gifts, and I am proud of each one of them. We know the future holds great things for the Class of 2021.
