Applicants sought to join Milton Township 708 board

Milton Township Supervisor John Monino is seeking applicants interested in serving on a new mental health board.

Monino will appoint seven board members, including a Milton Township trustee liaison, to serve terms of two, three or four years.

Voters in the April election approved a tax increase to create a 708 board. The panel will allocate the funding in the form of grants to local providers of disability, mental health and addiction services. The township is seeking prospective board members with experience in those areas.

Applicants are asked to complete an application available online at bit.ly/3hU0NlG and to email their resumes to 708MiltonCMHBoard@gmail.com by June 1.

An organizing committee will review all applications, and Monino will appoint the new board in late June.
