Groenwald joins Mount Prospect library board, Bass appointed to vacancy

Rosemary Groenwald was sworn in last week as a new Mount Prospect Public Library trustee, to serve a six-year term. She was on the library staff more than three decades.

In the April 6 election, voters also reelected Trustee Sylvia Haas, who has been on the board since 2008, to a two-year term and Trustee Kristine O'Sullivan, who was appointed last September, to a six-year term.

The library board appointed Marie Bass to fill the vacancy created when former library Trustee Terri Gens was elected to the Mount Prospect Village Board. Bass, who joined the board in 2019 but lost her bid for a six-year term in April, will serve until April 2023.

The board meets the third Thursday of each month. More information is at mppl.org/about-us/board-of-trustees.
