Sharps, syringes, EpiPen disposal offered at Saturday event in Wheaton

People can dispose of syringes, sharps, epinephrine injectors and prescription pills from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the drive-up Recycling Extravaganza in the commuter parking lot at Carlton Avenue and Liberty Drive in Wheaton. The pills should be put, loose, in a sealed plastic bag. The injectors should be in their cases. Sharps and syringes should be placed in a plastic container, such as a laundry detergent jug. The items should be placed in the trunk of the vehicle, and volunteers will unload them. A full list of acceptable items is at wheaton.il.us.
