Schaumburg man charged with sexual assault, robbery at hotel

A Schaumburg man faces sexual assault, unlawful restraint, robbery and kidnapping charges after an investigation involving multiple reported victims at a Schaumburg hotel where he resided, police said Thursday.

Malcolm Black, 27, of the 1300 block of Higgins Road in Schaumburg, is being held at the Cook County jail on $300,000 bail set during a March 30 court appearance. He's scheduled to return to court Friday, according to jail records.

He is charged with one count of criminal sexual assault; two counts of unlawful restraint, two counts of robbery; and one count of kidnapping, according to police.

Schaumburg police said they began investigating a sexual assault and robbery at the hotel on March 16.
