Chicago teen charged in East Dundee shooting
A Chicago teen faces multiple charges in connection with a January shooting in East Dundee.
East Dundee police on Monday arrested Trevon Duffie, 17, and charged him with several crimes including three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm.
On Jan. 11, East Dundee police officers responded to the 100 block of Dundee Avenue and found a 19-year-old DeKalb man with multiple gunshot wounds after an attempted robbery while the man was in his car.
East Dundee officers identified the suspect with help from the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force the Carpentersville, Lincolnwood and Oak Park police departments.
Duffie also was charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, attempted armed robbery with a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm and three counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He is being tried as an adult.
