Miles for Smiles this weekend at Buehler YMCA in Palatine

The Buehler YMCA in Palatine will host its third annual Miles for Smiles fundraiser - this year virtually - over the upcoming weekend to raise funds to help send local children to summer camp.

The fundraising campaign that started at the Buehler YMCA in 2019 by Barrington family Mike and Kristin Kiss has now been adopted outside of Illinois. The YMCA of Greater Montgomery in Alabama also will be holding their own Miles for Smiles fundraiser Saturday to support local youth.

The community is invited to join the Kiss family this weekend to run, walk, bike, swim, Zumba, Body Pump, play in the snow or any other energy-inducing activity that gets the body moving. Every mile or 15 minutes of physical activity will raise resources to strengthen communities and invest in local youth. Participants are also encouraged to post a photograph on the Miles for Smiles Facebook page.
