Schaumburg GOP to host forum for township, library candidates Feb. 27

The Schaumburg Township Republican Organization will hold a forum for the Republican township trustee candidates and candidates in the nonpartisan Schaumburg Township District Library race, from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27.

The event will take place at Chandler's Chophouse, 401 N. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

Candidates for township trustee will be introduced and make statements, followed by a forum for the Schaumburg Township District Library race, in which all candidates have been invited but have not necessarily confirmed their attendance.

Registration will be open at 7:50 a.m. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling the STRO office at (224) 353-6543.

COVID guidelines will be followed for the meeting, including face masks, temperature checks and social distancing. Hand sanitizer stations will be widely available.

To help defray the cost of the hot breakfast buffet, the organization asks for a $15 contribution from STRO members and a $20 contribution from nonmembers.
