Police are investigating an armed robbery Wednesday evening at a Wheaton CVS.

Wheaton police responded to the CVS, at 1400 E. Roosevelt Road, at 7:37 p.m. after a man entered the store and held an employee at knifepoint, according to a news release from the city. The man took an "undetermined" amount of cash, officials said.

The robber was described as a white man, about 6 feet tall, 25 to 30 years old, with a skinny build, dark eyes and dark hair, the release said. He was wearing a dark hoodie with the hood up, a white glove and a light-colored mask. He fled south on Blanchard Street, officials said.

Wheaton police ask anyone with information to call Detective Sgt. Lou Prempas at (630) 260-2075.
