Crystal Lake man faces multiple drug charges

A 26-year-old Crystal Lake man faces multiple drug charges after McHenry County authorities arrested him on outstanding warrants.

Investigators on Tuesday located Jordan Carmody on the 1500 block of Briarwood Circle in Crystal Lake. He fled on foot but was taken into custody after a short chase, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office said he was found to be in possession of about two grams of cocaine, plus three tabs of LSD and 20 ecstasy pills, with a total street value of $430, and $250 in cash.

During the chase, Carmody was seen throwing a black object from his waistband, authorities said.

A police dog located a replica handgun.

Carmody is scheduled to appear in court on the charges, which include possession of a controlled substance, obstruction of justice and resisting a peace officer, on Monday.
