Mask, hand sanitizer giveaway Saturday in Wauconda
Lake County Sheriff John D. Idleburg and Treasurer Holly Kim will host a mask and hand sanitizer giveaway Saturday, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 25225 W. Ivanhoe Road in Wauconda.
The no-contact, drive-through event — also sponsored by Messiah Lutheran Church, Lake County United Way, the Wauconda Area Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Wauconda — will take place from 10 a.m. to noon.
Each car will receive one bag containing four masks, hand sanitizer, and some goodies from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
“With COVID cases higher now than last spring, it's most important to get these masks in the hands of our residents,” Kim said in an announcement of the event.
