Schaumburg Library extends hours, services

On Sunday, Nov. 1, all Schaumburg Township District Library locations extended their hours, services, and capacity limits.

The drive-up window will be available with a five-item-per-car limit, but curbside pickup at the central library in Schaumburg has ended.

Buildings will remain open to the public throughout the day without a midday closure, and seniors and vulnerable individuals will still have their own designated morning hours at all three libraries in Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park.

Changes also include opening the central library's new "holds" room, where patrons can pick up books and other library materials they've put on hold. It is on the first floor, adjacent to the checkout desks. Patrons are also welcome to pick up holds from the new outdoor book locker, near the west entrance of the central library.
