Addison man dies from crash injuries

A second man has died from his injuries after an SUV veered off Interstate I-290 and struck a vehicle on the road below.

Robert J. Doyle, 58, of Addison died Sunday evening at Loyola University Medical Center, the Cook County medical examiner's office announced Monday.

The crash occurred about 1:15 p.m. Friday. Police say Wauconda resident Jack Giannini, 23, veered left off I-290, drove into a ditch and went airborne before his vehicle landed on Grand Avenue, where it struck the driver's side of Doyle's Ford.

Giannini was pronounced dead at the scene.
