St. Charles Park District filling commissioner's seat

The St. Charles Park District is looking for candidates to fill a commissioner's seat after Mike Hoscheit relocated out of the district this week.

Hoscheit, whose term ran from 2017 to 2021, served as the park district's treasurer.

The new commissioner will be appointed by a majority of the remaining members of the St. Charles Park District Board of Commissioners and serve until the consolidated election in April 2021.

Interested candidates should email a letter of interest and resume to jsantos@stcparks.org, mail their information to Board Secretary Bob Carne at 101 South Second Street in St. Charles, 60174, or drop off their materials at Baker Community Center. Resumes must be received by 4 p.m. on Nov. 2.

Potential candidates must be a qualified elector within the St. Charles Park District and be a resident within the district for at least a year before the appointment. Candidates can't have a criminal record or have any back taxes or debt owed to the park district.
