Legislative candidates in Illinois Senate District 25 and Illinois House Districts 49 and 50 took part in a joint Zoom interview with editorial board representatives of the Daily Herald and Shaw Media.
Making the case for their candidacies in an hourlong forum here Senate candidates Karina Villa and Jeanette Ward, both of West Chicago; House District 49 candidates Maura Hirschauer of Batavia and Laura Curtis of North Aurora; and House District 50 candidates Kate Monteleone of St. Charles and Keith Wheeler of Oswego.
The six exchanged views on respose to the COVID-19 pandemic, the graduated income tax, property taxes, public pensions and the economy, among other issues.
