Glenview Rotary's Hero Hustle steps off Saturday

Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise announces The Hero Hustle Step Challenge, a virtual fitness event that will take place over nine days from Sept. 12-20, to benefit local nonprofits.

Over the nine-day period, participants can track their steps with an app synced to their smartphone, Fitbit, or other smart device.

Participants that achieve 90,000 steps or more over the 9 day event will be eligible for prizes. First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded in adult and children's categories. A few of the prizes include restaurant and business gift certificates, a golf pass, pool pass, and more.

Also participating in the fundraising effort - to make sure charitable efforts in our communities remain strong - are Glenview restaurants Culver's, Blended, John's Garage, Your Pie, Coarse Italian and Noodles & Company. Many families in our area depend on assistance with food, school supplies, student scholarships or other types of support. With the community's help, the Hero Hustle contributes significantly every year to the Glenview area and neighboring communities. Examples of organizations that have benefited include the Northfield Township Food Pantry, Glenview Youth Services, Wesley Childcare, the Glenview Public Library and so many more.
