Cantigny Park's First Division Museum reopening with reservations

The First Division Museum at Cantigny Park in Wheaton reopened Friday with a new reservation system and COVID-19 safety measures.

Patrons must make an online reservation for either a morning or afternoon time slot before visiting the museum dedicated to the Army's oldest division.

The museum will limit each time slot to 50 guests to maintain social distancing standards. The time slots are available from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and 1:45 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

The museum also will close for cleaning on Mondays and Tuesdays. All high-volume touch points will be sanitized from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.

All staff and visitors must wear masks in the museum. The galleries will have one-way traffic only.

Two features - the helicopter raid and a D-Day film - are temporarily closed. There will be no guided tours.

Wheelchairs are available, and hand sanitizing stations will be placed outside each gallery and at the entrance.

To reserve a free ticket online, visit Fdmuseum.org.

Visitors do not need to print or bring their ticket to enter. The museum will have visitor names at the door.
