Construction worker charged with secretly videoing girls in shower of Hinsdale home

A construction worker has been accused of secretly videotaping and photographing two girls and a woman as they took showers at a Hinsdale house where he was working.

The DuPage County state's attorney's office announced the charges Wednesday afternoon against Jose L. Gaspar, 45, of the 2600 block of St. Charles Road, Bellwood.

Judge Jeffrey MacKay set bail at $150,000. If Gaspar posts bail, he will have to wear a GPS tracking device.

Gaspar is charged with one count of unauthorized videotaping at a residence, and two counts of unauthorized videotaping of a person younger than 18.

The charges allege that in November 2019, he stood outside the home and took photos and videos of the homeowner's 15- and 22-year-old daughters, and another girl, 16, without their consent.

People who knew Gaspar became aware of the photos and videos and told a relative of the homeowner, who told the homeowner.

Gaspar is next due in court June 8.
