Schaumburg Library cancels some programs, services

The Schaumburg Township District Library has canceled all library programs and some services through March 31 as a preventive measure to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

The cancellations include not only all programs but also meeting room reservations and outreach services, including home deliveries and visits to senior living facilities.

However, until further notice, all library locations will remain open during their regularly scheduled hours.

Also, library staff are continuing their increased cleaning regimen and removing many toys from public areas.

Library officials emphasized the changes are not due to any known exposure to COVID-19 at any location, but reflect the guidance and guidelines provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
