Crystal Lake police investigating attempted abduction
Crystal Lake detectives are investigating an attempted child abduction, authorities said.
A girl told police she was waiting for a school bus around 7 a.m. Monday near Virginia Road and Darlington Lane when a man pulled up and told her to get into his car, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department. The man is described as white, in his 30s, balding, wearing a black sweatshirt, gray pants, and yellow square-rimmed glasses, and driving a red sedan with tinted windows.
