Streamwood man accused of shooting at car in Bartlett

Bartlett police on Friday arrested a 25-year-old Streamwood man accused of firing a gun at an occupied car in a shopping center parking lot Dec. 26 after an argument with another man.

Mario L. Hayes Jr. is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm. He's being held at the Cook County jail on $25,000 bail, jail records show.

Police said the shooting occurred in the parking lot of Oak Leaf Plaza on the 100 block of Lake Street about 10:50 p.m. Dec. 26. No one was injured, police said.

The shooting was reported Jan. 3, and, after a joint investigation with Streamwood police, authorities alleged Hayes fired a gun in the direction of an occupied vehicle in the parking lot after an argument in a convenience store.
