A man stole more than $10,000 in merchandise from a Wheaton Sprint store Friday evening, police said.
The robber, described as a light-skinned black man wearing a dark sweatshirt and mask, walked into the 212 Danada Square W. location at about 8 p.m. and showed employees a handgun, according to Deputy Chief P.J. Youker of the Wheaton Police Department.
After taking the merchandise, the robber ran out of the store, Youker said.
Police are investigating. Youker wouldn't confirm if police had a person of interest or anybody in custody.
