'Altered States' exhibit opening Friday at Adler Center

Wine, art and live music are featured from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, during a free opening reception for "Altered States: Printmaking Experiments" at the David Adler Music & Arts Center, 1700 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.

The exhibit, which runs through Dec. 14, features a curated group of regional printmakers who are exploring different ways an image might be rendered, such as variations in how color and inks are applied to the plates, the layering of repeated images or incorporating collage and multimedia.

Gallery hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays; Friday by appointment; and 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Call (847) 367-0707 or visit www.adlercenter.org for more information.
