No injuries were reported after a neighbor rescued two pet dogs from a two-story house that was struck by lightning Friday afternoon on the 400 block of Franklin Avenue in Naperville.

Firefighters said they responded to a 911 call at 2:01 p.m. after neighbors reported seeing flames from the rear of the house at the roof line. Crews found a small fire in the attic that was confined to the area and quickly extinguished.

No residents were home at the time of the fire.

They were allowed to return after a small hole was repaired in the roof.
